Readers have always been important contributors to The Times – used even to write the front page with all those small ads. And where would we be without all those first cuckoos & other important letters to the editor?
With the new website we have even more opportunities to get involved as Times writers have been busily pointing out to us. Thus Erica Wagner on book reviews: There is no final word … read as much as you can - & then join in. Or Sally Baker on Feedback: As you readers are an integral part of the Times family …
But surely things have gone a bit far when Dr Mark Porter offers "Live surgery for readers" online.
