A horse called Murphy got his legs tangled in the wheels of a gun wagon being used by the team preparing to fire a salute in Hyde Park yesterday.
Murphy was dragged along the ground, fractured his leg and, sadly, had to be put down.
The salute was to mark the 58th anniversary of the coronation of the Queen.
Which means that it is 58 years since I could recite the whole of the poem Don Dirk of Dowdee
