Allan Robb of Radio 5 Live has died aged only 49. He was always so laid back & saw the funny side, while being a really sharp interviewer. I do not remember ever hearing any mention of the multiple sclerosis which has killed him.
Dame Beryl Bainbridge has also died – a brave & funny woman who was never one to let the ******** get her down. It is a disgrace that she never won a Booker – unless, unlike the Nobel, it can be awarded posthumously.
